I had been concerned that the major refurbishment I was planning could cause a great deal of disruption and annoyance to my neighbours; for this reason I had been to look at various 'works in progress' and found that all the AK Developments sites I visited were kept extremely clean and tidy. This prompted my initial contact with the company and, at the first meeting, I was impressed by the professional attitude, courtesy and prompt attention to the requested quotation. The price submitted was very competitive and I had no hesitation in asking AK to carry out the proposed work.

At no time during the ensuing project did I have any cause to regret this decision. AK took over liaison with both the structural engineer and the Building Regulations officer and kept me fully informed of all necessary changes to the plans and the cost implications of same. As work progressed there were also changes that I wished to make as well as the planning of the relevant fixtures and fittings to be undertaken. AK always made themselves available to discuss these with me, to offer advice when asked and to keep unfailingly good-humoured! At every stage I received written confirmation of all instructions I had given and each invoice was accompanied by a detailed break-down of the completed work covered by same.

During the course of the re-build I came into contact with most of the workforce of AK Developments. I found them, without exception, to be personable, hard-working and very competent in their respective trades. Importantly, they also made certain that the site and surroundings were left clean and secure every evening.

The finished property has lived up to all my expectations - I am delighted with it and would unreservedly recommend AK Developments. Also, despite the close proximity of the neighbouring properties, I have received not a single complaint and have, in fact, received many compliments over AK's handling of the job and the quality of their workmanship.
